Ein junger Schwede gerät an der Côte d’Azur unter Terrorverdacht. Er wird in ein Gefängnis in Paris gebracht, wo die Menschenrechte außer Kraft scheinen. Mit »Ein höheres Ziel« (Polar Verlag) interpretiert die schwedische Juristin und Autorin Malin Thunberg Schunke (die u.a. in Hannover und auf Sardinien lebt) den schwedischen Kriminalroman völlig neu. Zusammen mit ihrer Übersetzerin Stefanie Werner berichtet sie über neue europäische Perspektiven und ein Schreiben jenseits aller Klischees.
